- Job Description
- To design, build, evaluate and document results of various neural network
- models used to detect rare events (cancer cells) . Also requires using
- statistical analysis to find the optimum models and to integrate final neural
- networks into accelerator hardwa
- re. Also includes developing new tools and improving existing tools for
- evaluation and training purposes. In this key role, the ideal candidate will
- be involved in providing technical leadership and participating in the design
- of next generation products.
- Will be exposed to multi-disciplinary technology including optics, mechanics,
- and digital image processing.

- Required Qualifications
- MS or Ph.D. Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven track record with several successful "real world" neural network
- applications.
- Familiarity with contemporary neural network technology literature and
- research.
- Must be product focused and work well in a cross-functional team environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Two years experience with C/C++ programming languages.
- Strong Mathematical and Statistical aptitude.
- Familiarity with DOS, WINDOWS and UNIX environments.

- Desired Qualifications
- Experience with image processing and 2D signal processing techniques as
- well as other adaptive classification systems including Fuzzy Logic,
- Genetic Algorithms and other AI adaptive systems.
- Familiarity with optics and mechanics.
