  41. Job Description
  42. To design, build, evaluate and document results of various neural network 
  43. models used to detect rare events (cancer cells) . Also requires using 
  44. statistical analysis to find the optimum models and to integrate final neural 
  45. networks into accelerator hardwa
  46. re. Also includes developing new tools and improving existing tools for 
  47. evaluation and training purposes. In this key role, the ideal candidate will 
  48. be involved in providing technical leadership and participating in the design 
  49. of next generation products.
  50.  Will be exposed to multi-disciplinary technology including optics, mechanics, 
  51. and digital image processing.

  53. Required Qualifications
  54. MS or Ph.D. Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  55. Proven track record with several successful "real world" neural network 
  56. applications.
  57. Familiarity with contemporary neural network technology literature and 
  58. research.
  59. Must be product focused and work well in a cross-functional team environment.
  60. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  61. Two years experience with C/C++ programming languages.
  62. Strong Mathematical and Statistical aptitude.
  63. Familiarity with DOS, WINDOWS and UNIX environments.

  65. Desired Qualifications
  66. Experience with image processing and 2D signal processing techniques as 
  67. well as other adaptive classification systems including Fuzzy Logic, 
  68. Genetic Algorithms and other AI adaptive systems.
  69. Familiarity with optics and mechanics.
